NANS Southwest in Conjunction with NACOS: Empowering Leadership and Innovation at the 2024 Leadership Summit

On September 30th, 2024, the NANS Southwest leadership, in partnership with the National Association of Computer Science Students (NACOS), successfully hosted the NACOS Leadership Summit 2024 at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede (FPE). The event brought together key stakeholders, students, and leaders to discuss the theme: "Our Role in Creating a Positive Impact in Society."

The summit commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome address by Mrs. Ndidi O.C., the Head of the Computer Science Department at FPE, and the Mother of the Day. Her words of encouragement set the tone for the event, emphasizing the importance of leadership, unity, and innovation among students.

Keynote Speakers and Honored Guests

The summit also featured distinguished guests, including Mrs. Lawal, who served as Keynote Speaker 1, delivering an inspiring speech on leadership’s role in societal transformation. Mr. Adigun, as Keynote Speaker 2, followed with a powerful address on collaboration and resilience in leadership. We were further honored by the presence of Mr. Fabiyi (Ebony) as the Father of the Day, whose wisdom and support were invaluable.

In addition, Comr Zealgate, our Special Guest of Honor, shared his invaluable insights on active leadership and motivated the students to embrace their roles as future leaders.

A Joint Effort for Development

As the Director of ICT for NANS Southwest (Zone D), I was privileged to present the strides we’ve made in recent months, particularly the launch of the NANS Southwest website, a platform designed to foster communication and transparency. This achievement showcases our commitment to growth and innovation, with much of the development work led by four exceptional students from the Computer Science Department, demonstrating what can be achieved when we collaborate.

Looking Forward

This summit is the beginning of a strengthened partnership between NANS Southwest and NACOS. We are excited to continue building a foundation of leadership, innovation, and progress that will benefit the department and society at large.

Long live NACOS!

Long live NANS!

Long live leadership and innovation!

Signed,

Comrade Kehinde Ayokunle Temiloluwa

Director of ICT, NANS Southwest (Zone D)

Proud Member, NACOS
