I, Comrade Mustapha Imran Taiwo, Popularly known as Dplenty- Senator with the Vibes, Director of Media for the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, extend my heartfelt joy and overwhelming gratitude to mark the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho. A transformative milestone for my beloved town and the entire Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State.
As a true son of the soil and a proud indigene of Okeho, this development represents a dream fulfilled, a future brightened, and a path cleared for generational impact through education and innovation.
I sincerely and proudly commend Distinguished Senator Fatai Buhari for his exceptional leadership and tireless efforts in making this historic achievement possible. His commitment to educational development and regional empowerment has once again borne fruit, and we Nigerian students and citizens of Okeho are truly grateful.
Equally, I would like to appreciate all those who played key roles behind the scenes and at the forefront in making this university a reality. In particular, I pay special tribute to my respected father and role model, Prof. Segun Gbadegesin, a man of wisdom, vision, and unwavering commitment to the development of Okeho. His consistent advocacy and support were instrumental in moving this vision forward.
I also extend my deepest appreciation to all sons and daughters of Okeho, both at home and abroad, who contributed in one way or another through advocacy, prayers, influence, or professional support to ensure this project came to life. Your love for our community and dedication to its growth are deeply inspiring.
This university is not only an educational institution, it is a symbol of unity, hope, and progress. It will open doors to academic excellence, agricultural innovation, job creation, and economic revitalization for our youth and generations to come.
To my fellow Okeho indigenes: let this achievement encourage us to do more. Let’s continue to work together for the continued upliftment of our town and region.
May Okeho continue to rise. May this university flourish. And may more development find its way to our land.
Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!
Signed,
Comrade Mustapha Imran Taiwo
